Note: We will have extra people onboard and will rotate through for training evolutions. Normally we limit max crew to 8  (7 for OD events). For training will have 10 and may put 2 below on rotational basis. Mike Reifer will help lead training.

Homework Assignment: Please review this presentation on using the instruments - J/109 Vento Solare Crew Training for B&G Instruments

Please be at the dock on time to stow gear and a quick brief so we can be out on the water at 5:15pm.  

Those needing a ride on base please meet 4:45 pm at the Pass & ID parking lot to be driven on base.

Walk through settings on dock, then leave dock @ 5:15pm sharp.
--Practice upwind settings, tacks, calling wind and shifts, crew communications, jib trim and inhaul settings
--Spinnaker sets, jybes, downwind settings, crew communications
--Dust off the cob webs and instruct new crew on Vento Solare race routine and instruments

Using One Design Class Sails

Bill will come to boat early and get it washed and all setup for photos.  Wayne call Bill when arriving and I'll walk out to meet everyone to drive on base.

Once the photos are taken we can do a champagne pleasure sail!

Ahoy Crew,

Please update your availability at this link from Maybe to Yes or No and indicate if bringing a significant other so we have an accurate head count.

We plan on having a Texas Tuesday New England Style farewell at the Kneller's house for John & Laurence, who are Tom & Diana's Innkeepers at the Almondy Inn.  John & Laurence are moving to Florida. The plan is for Vento Solare to finish practice and be back at the dock no later than 6:30pm so we can proceed to the party. Other people attending are John & Laurence, new innkeepers Shelby & Jerome, Eric Irwin, Mary Martin, Julija & Conor O'Neil, Lisa Hammond, Caitlin Niemic, and Jakob Sutton.

Cindy is getting Blount Clam Chowder and Mary is bringing Yankee Pot Roast and Shrimp Scampi. Lisa is bringing a cake and Maggie is bringing a Chopped Salad and appetizer.  Feel free to bring any beverages.
